Outfit Of The Day

This shot has a very unique and intense feel to it and the outfit is basically my favorite. I am very much a fan :) Oh and it helps to have a high fashion model like Karlie Kloss owning it! (duh, it could use some alterations, but I do very much like the idea.) <3 Carmy Nicole

The Next Big Thing in Music

This is a post about a girl with a dream. A big dream. This is a post about a girl named Regan Rindlisbacher. She is making her dreams a reality.

Watch this video:

Now that is Regan. And guess what, she wrote that song. She is so talented it's insane. I am jealous of her mad skills. And trust me, I know how much courage Regan has. She is just happens to be my bestie. :]

I have watched as she stood up and sang that song she wrote in front of entire classes at school. She performed that song in front of thousands of kids her age at a youth conference called EFY. She has the courage to put herself out there. And because of that courage I have NO DOUBT that she will fulfill her dreams.

Right now she is working on adding background tracks to her songs and recording them so that hopefully on day she can sign a recording contract. How amazing would that be?!

Regan is just a girl with a dream. A dream that is becoming a reality.

So, What will you do with your dreams?
Let's live our dreams together.

Share the love, spread the love, something this good has got to go BIG.

Just wanted to say..
Getting out of the shower in the morning is hard enough..
And if I had a shower like this I would either..
1.) never take a shower
or
2.) take a shower and never ever ever get out

~Savannah

One Word: Respect

You know those days? Ya know, those ones. They usually involve a moody teenage girl and a mom who is goin' crazy. Yesterday was one of those days. But the hardness of the day brought to light a problem that I have. Something I need to work on. RESPECT.

re·spect[ri-spekt] noun

1.
esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person, a personal quality or ability, or something considered as a manifestation of a personal quality or ability: I have great respect for her judgment.
2.
deference to a right, privilege, privileged position, or someone or something considered to have certain rights or privileges; proper acceptance or courtesy; acknowledgment: respect for a suspect's right to counsel; to show respect for the flag; respect for the elderly.
3.
the condition of being esteemed or honored: to be held in respect.

I love my mom. But sometimes I have the problem of expected things of her. For example: I have made a commitment to go to basketball practice. This week our Monday practice was changed to a later time, so I basically notified my mom and expected her to drive me all the way back to school, on Family Night, so that I could be at practice.

Note: mom would have driven me to that practice, if I had thought about what it meant for the family, considered other people's feelings and commitments, and thoughtfully asked my mom instead of expecting her to drive me.

Girls, there isn't much that is more attractive then a guy who treats his mom with respect. If we want a respectful guy we have to be respectful girls.

You wouldn't be here if it weren't for your mom. Treat her with respect.

The same goes for dads. And siblings. And friends. Everyone around you deserves respect. They deserve acknowledgment. You owe it to them.

Be respectful. The world will love you for it.

Emma Caroline

I'm infatuated

I have a thing for bohemian/indie style...a BIG thing. Like, the high end, classy stuff! I just love it. The runways are all Alberta Ferretti but I love them all.

I watched this for the first time the other night.

now my dream is to become a fashionista with killer style and be dreadfully rich, whilst working with a fashion magazine.

Sometimes it's okay to be a rebel.

as of late, my life has been the hardest thing I've ever experienced. It's funny, because life is all I know, but it seems like a completely different journey than before.
I told people exactly how I felt, even if it hurt. I used to let people take the upper-hand over me. not anymore.

Isn't it interesting how you can wake up one day, feeling on top of the world, but then you see someone, or talk with someone, and they ruin everything.

In my earnest to get away, I almost let them keep talking, but something remarkable happened. I found a voice I didn't know I had. When I'm nervous, I get cold. When I began to open my mouth and say what my heart needed to, I sat up straight and tall, I wasn't cold at all, and smiled to myself. I was so scared to stick up for myself. But this morning, I met a girl I never knew existed. I met a girl who was confident and strong. I met a girl who won't take no for an answer. I met a girl who walked away with excitement for what her life is just starting to become.

Girls, life is scary. I know. but I promise if you find your voice and listen to your heart (I know, it sounds so cheesy) you'll find it isn't so scary at all. Sure, it might be hard getting there. That's okay. Because in the end, it won't matter.

Let's talk about boys

I'm in love with love.
Yes, I admit it.

Sparkly eyes, a shy smile and a cute face is all I need to make my heart melt. I'm a simple girl. I don't need the next top model. I like the shy, sweet, cute type. Tall, skinny (that's my quirk), with nice hair and a sense of style. Oh and did I mention CUTE? I think I did.

Anyway, we're all girls here, right? So I can rave a bit? Let me start by sharing a little piece of my love life.

....oh wait, that's right.
I don't have one.

The fact of the matter is that my love life has been very small indeed. I have very few close guy friends, and to be completely honest, I'd never even think of having romantic feelings towards any of them. I tend to like the unreachable guys. You know, the popular ones. The ones all the girls swoon over. What can I say? I'm a sucker for a pretty face. I've had my share of crushes, some of which I've even plucked up the courage and managed to talk to them only to be rejected multiple times. Oh well, at least I have the satisfaction of knowing he stares at me all the time, right? Wrong. That only makes everything ten times worse.

Enough about my love life. Now that you know that I don't have one, I can skim into the future and talk about my dream man, because let's be honest, we all have one.

The physical quirks:
1. Tall (I'm not very particular about this one, so long as they are taller than me. But I do like to feel small, so six foot isn't a bad thing).
2. Baby face (Oh my gosh, don't even get me started! Boys with baby faces... so adorable).
3. Skinny (Okay, everyone tells me I'm crazy, but I absolutely cannot stand curvy guys. Boys legs aren't supposed to be curvy, girls are. So therefore, I like tall, skinny, straight boys because their legs are long and lean... and that's fine).
4. Brown eyes (up until about a year ago I've always loved blue eyes. I still do; they're beautiful. But one day I saw a boy with heavenly chocolate brown eyes and I could never look back).
5. Big eyes (Big, brown eyes. Gorgeous! Oh my goodness, I love when boys have big eyes because eyes are by far one of my favorite features on a boy... and his smile).
6. When they wear sweatshirts (oh my... this is my favorite. There's nothing I want to do more than snuggle an attractive boy wearing a sweatshirt. They look so cuddly!)
7. When they smell good (sorry, I had to put it up. Oh come on, you know you like it too).
8. When they dress nice (so hot).
9. When they hug you (it's pretty much perfect).
10. When they hold your hand in public (so cute).

The personality quirks:
1. Confidence (seriously, girls, you know this just as much as I do. When a boy has the confidence and nerve to make the first move it's way attractive).
2. Shy (I don't know why... it's just so dang adorable).
3. Gentleman (opens the door for you, as well as car doors. Offers you his seat. Let's you go first in line. It's just so extra adorable when they are respectful of you).
4. Silly (oh come on, you know me. I'm so dorky, there's absolutely no way I could date someone who doesn't know how to joke around).
5. When they have ambitions, dreams and goals for the future (it's just so attractive).
6. Spiritual (spiritual attractiveness, for me at least, is even more potent than physical attractiveness).
7. Smiles and laughs a lot (it's just a must).
8. Makes me laugh (also a must).
9. Hobbies (sings, dances, plays guitar, plays sports... all attractive. I like when they are involved in something that I can support them in).
10. Spontaneous (it makes life entertaining and full of surprises, which any girl loves).

I suppose you could say that I desire the kind of boyfriend any girl desires. Someone who will lay out on the tramp and watch the stars, talking through the early hours of the morning with me, hold me while I'm crying, hug me and kiss me on the forehead after a fight, dance like a crazy person in the kitchen with me. Someone who will always tell me how much I mean to them. Someone who isn't afraid of the words "I love you". Someone who likes to go on lazy day drives and do absolutely nothing, together. Who doesn't want a boy like that? With me, cheesey's a good thing.

Sure, he won't be perfect.
Everyone has their flaws.
But he'll be perfect for me.

Fact of the matter is, I absolutely cannot wait to fall in love.

Thanks for talking about boys with me!

What would your perfect man be like? Leave a comment.

Love, Shelby

My kinda cute

So, Shelb's post about her style totally inspired me to write one like it :) You know, all of us are different people. We have different dreams, different quirks, and different styles. I adore Shelby, and all the girlies that post on this blog, but even though we all want to reach out to YOU, we are all completely DIFFERENT. So, I choose some pics that represent MY style and things that make my heart sigh a little. Just to show that we are all unique. So don't worry about it.

This picture is totally me. Like really. Those glasses, and a cardigan (my fave things ever) and a yellow belt. I own a yellow belt and I wear it way too much :P oh gosh, I love this picture.

Love this too.

My shoes, I'm gonna have those one day. I love TOMS.

I asked for socks for Christmas. Ones like those. <3

I want oxfords really really bad.

Ok, lots of pictures. All from Pinterest. I <3 Pinterest. Feel free to check out my boards :) If you click on one of the picture it should take you there.

Oh, my style in one word? Or a few. I would say Vintage, Sweet, Nerdy. And one word? Seriously: EMMA. That's all I can say. I'm me. And when your style is completely you, I promise you it's gorgeous. YOU ARE GORGEOUS.

So show the world. It needs you.

Emma Caroline.

Find your style, find you.

I believe in first impressions. I also believe that clothes say a lot about who you are and what you stand for. If you're like me, you love clothes. I happen to love lots of different styles, even if I can't pull it off. I don't exactly know how to describe my style in one word. Simple, maybe? Casual/comfortable? Or sophisticated/classy. But also very girly, sassy and colorful. Pastels are my favorite. Glitter is even better.

I love everything from this ripped jeans, converse and sweatshirt look to -

To this girly, sophisticated look; ruffles and all.

Winter is my favorite season when it comes to clothes. I am obsessed with pea coats, boots and jeans. I have more than five coats hanging in my closet currently, and I am yet to find more. They just happen to be my favorite accessory.

Some other things I love are -

My fashion advice to you:
Keep it simple, keep it you, and don't every wear anything you aren't comfortable in.

Shelby {Nicole}

Words: A secret weapon for getting friends and boys.

Let me paint a picture for you:

Last school year. 2010-2011. I am a silly awkward girl who has suddenly been thrown into high school having skipped a grade, so I was a year younger then everyone else in my grade. Sure, I thought boys were cute and had crushes on some but only a couple ever went out of their way to get to know me. I didn't feel like I really had any friends, just a few. Problem as I saw it then: No one wants to be my friend and boys don't think I'm cute. Problem as I see it now: I never talked to anyone. EVER.

Now let's skip ahead to this school year. 2011-2012. I start at a new school. A charter school. I expect it to be exactly like last year, just surviving for the first year hoping I'll find friends in the second. But I was wrong. Oh, so completely wrong it's crazy. I must be cuter then I was last year or something because suddenly I find that all these boys think I am super attractive and by the time I am 3 weeks into school 5 different boys like me. Ahhhhhhhhhh! Going from zero social life and no boys talking to me to instant popularity in 3.5 seconds it really scary. let me tell you.

Now I don't tell you this to brag, but to share something with you. Something that could change the world. Your world. I have come to a conclusion: the thing that made this school year so drastically different from last year has nothing to do with the boys at my new school. It has everything to do with ME and how I act. It's not just that I might be prettier then I was last year, or that the boys are any different, it's all because of one little thing: I talk. I say hi to people in the hall even if I don't know them all that well. I share my opinion in class. I compliment people.

That is the biggest part for me. complimenting people. It's something I have been working on lately and let me tell you, it makes all the difference.

Proven fact: people enjoy being around people who compliment them and others. People enjoy being around happy people.

Trust me, I proved that fact this year. I started talking to people and they started talking to me. Boys notice me more, girls want to be my friend. And I blame it entirely on words. they are powerful.

So, if you feel like you don't have any friends. If you want that really attractive boy to notice you. If you have something to say- then say it. Talk, girly. The world will love you for your words.

God loves you for you. And so do I.

So be beautiful.

Loves,

Emma
